About The Position

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. You will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance to production machinery on our Core Print Solutions team. For this role, you would also be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days. Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota 1st Shift 6:30a - 2:30p About the Role: In this opportunity as a Maintenance Technician - 1st shift you will: Diagnose machinery malfunctions and perform repairs. Communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, engineers, and managers. Reconcile work assignments at end of the shift. Perform lubrication procedures and electro-mechanical inspections for preventative maintenance. Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and replace auxiliary components such as motors, gearboxes, servos, electrical switches/sensors, and mechanical drives. Read, interpret and comprehend simple to complex technical information and blueprints to make repairs, fabrications, or modifications. May operate various machine shop equipment and material handling equipment. Scope and Impact Identifies and solves a range of problems whose solutions may be outside standard work and require nonstandard solutions. Works under general supervision. Prioritizes and completes multiple tasks with minimal management oversight. Relationships: Internal / External Works and collaborates across department teams and shifts and with the staff of internal departments.

Requirements

  • 2-year technical college or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
  • Computer literate.
  • Competent with volt/ohmmeter, dial indicator, micrometer, lathe, milling machine, hand tools, hoists, jacks, and test equipment.
  • Working knowledge of air, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.
  • Ability to weld, braze, and solder.
  • Competent with a basic diagnosis of electrical components such as switches, sensors, detectors, and motors.
  • Math skills.
