About The Position

The Westover Companies is a family-owned and operated property management company with over fifty years of experience providing quality living, shopping, and working spaces. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our apartment community at Jamestown Village Apartments in Willow Grove, PA. This role supports one or multiple apartment properties by handling routine service requests and preventative maintenance, ensuring work is completed safely and in a timely manner to provide superior customer service to our residents.

Requirements

Demonstrate the appropriate and safe use of standard hand and power tools.
Ability to lift and move heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt, etc.).
Ability to shovel and salt as required.
Perform routine, preventative maintenance.
Knowledge and practice of a variety of building trade skills.
Ability to work on step/extension ladders and roofs while following safety protocols.
Able and willing to lift objects as required.
Ability to work an on-call schedule as required.
Reliable work ethic and dependable transportation; must maintain valid driver’s license and working vehicle.
Provide own (basic) hand tools.

Responsibilities

Complete routine maintenance tasks, service requests, turnovers, and preventative maintenance for units and common areas.
Share on-call responsibility.
Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Attend in-house training as required.
Maintain current preventative maintenance property logs.
Identify safety and hazardous conditions and communicate any issues.
Follow company operational and safety procedures.
Complete work orders in a timely manner.
Keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and stocked shop.
