About The Position

The purpose of this role is to ensure the reliability and operation of machinery and auxiliary equipment in a plastic injection molding facility. The Maintenance Technician will complete preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule, and complete reactive troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. This individual will work in a manner that keeps themselves and their team members safe, while finding opportunities to improve work processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic system repair.
  • Knowledge of injection molding, pneumatic conveying, chilled water systems, and grinders.
  • Skilled in using a multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or technical training.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
  • Welding experience.
  • Machining experience.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair injection molding machines, extrusion equipment, compressors, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and more.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Support engineering-led projects, kaizen events, and continuous improvement efforts that reduce scrap and increase efficiency.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, assist with building repairs, and coordinate with contractors on system upgrades.
  • Perform timely troubleshooting and repairs to keep production moving during emergencies.
  • Partner with Production and Maintenance Supervisors to keep operations safe, smooth, and efficient.
