About The Position

Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Parkview Place Apartments in Lubbock, Texas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multifamily property maintenance and be capable of completing service requests, apartment make-readies, preventive maintenance, and general property repairs. We are looking for a team-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, attractive, and well-functioning community for our residents.

Requirements

  • Previous multifamily, apartment, residential, or building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • EPA/HVAC certification is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to respond to maintenance emergencies when scheduled.
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Complete resident service requests and work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance issues.
  • Perform apartment make-readies and prepare vacant units for new residents.
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled repairs.
  • Assist with maintaining building interiors, exteriors, common areas, and property grounds.
  • Troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, doors, locks, plumbing fixtures, and other property equipment.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, property damage, or maintenance concerns to management.
  • Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, shop areas, and inventory in an organized and safe condition.
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, supervisors, and other team members.
  • Assist with emergency maintenance situations and participate in the property's after-hours/on-call rotation as required.
  • Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned by property management.
