About The Position

We are working with an established Food Production Company based in Youngstown, OH. They are recruiting for an Maintenance Technician to join their team on 2nd or 3rd shift in return for a salary in the region of $28 - $33 p/h along with shift differential, excellent employment benefits which include 401K, Healthcare, Vision and Dental.

Requirements

Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends
Basic math, communication, and ability to read manuals and safety documents
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Skilled in welding, brazing, and shop equipment (lathes, mills)
Able to bend, reach, climb, and work in confined spaces
Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical dexterity
Able to detect equipment issues through sight and sound
Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills

Responsibilities

Performed preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyors, and production equipment
Troubleshot and repaired mechanical issues using manuals and technical specifications
Identified faults through observation and precision measuring tools
Adjusted equipment using hand tools and alignment instruments
Reduced downtime through preventive maintenance and operator support
Fabricated replacement parts using shop equipment
Provided maintenance support and technical guidance to team members
Prepared maintenance reports and tracked performance trends
Communicated issues and updates across shifts and teams
Maintained a safe and compliant work environment
Read electrical schematics and troubleshot 110V, 240V, and 480V systems
Supported team operations and overall production goals
