About The Position

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management/infrastructure service organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at our site in the Hampton Roads, VA area. The applicant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of movable bridges, including light troubleshooting of machinery, electrical, plumbing, and generators, as well as custodial and lawn maintenance. This role also involves assisting installation, maintenance, and repair workers, performing preventive maintenance, and submitting daily and weekly inspection reports. The position requires the technician to be on call as needed.

Requirements

Basic Safety knowledge
Proficiency with Power Tools
Proficiency with handheld tools
Attentive and motivated
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Computer training with Microsoft Office background
CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
Possession of a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Assist in the maintenance and repair work for movable bridges.
Perform light troubleshooting for machinery, electrical, plumbing, generators, and other equipment.
Conduct custodial and lawn maintenance, including picking up debris, sweeping, and shoveling.
Assist installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical and electronic equipment.
Furnish tools, materials, and supplies to other workers.
Perform painting, general labor, and cleaning of work areas, machines, and tools.
Hold materials or tools for other workers.
Provide preventive maintenance service to machinery, generators, etc.
Provide daily and weekly inspection reports of equipment.
Be on call as needed.
