About The Position

We are looking for a Technician Mechanic Trainee to join our team in West Valley City, UT. As a Technician Mechanic Trainee with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will be responsible for performing light maintenance work under close supervision. Each day brings new challenges, and we make sure you are prepared for it all. Requirements

Demonstrates proficiency in difficult and high-pressure situations.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Basic hand tool knowledge.
Ability to follow and add to safety culture to create a safe work environment.
Ability to work well with others.
Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.
Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements and noise.

Responsibilities

Performs maintenance type work (i.e. preventive maintenance, pre-delivery inspections, light electrical repairs, etc.) under supervision.
Assists Service Technician in heavy-duty truck repair.
Attends training sessions to gain knowledge and experience.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area and properly handles company tools.
Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
