About The Position

This opportunity is full-time, Monday thru Friday 7am-3:30pm with weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation. The position requires the ability for an on-call rotation. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties in and around the facility buildings, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining equipment and machinery. Assists the Director of Plant Operations in completing tasks such as routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment, building systems, and units. This position conducts inspections to ensure safety and functionality, responds to work orders, and keeps records of maintenance activities. Performing key tasks include troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, cleaning and repairing machinery, and performing facility upkeep. The responsibilities of this position center on performing repairs, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The Meadows Psychiatric Center is the leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania. We are located a short distance outside State College, PA. The Meadows is a 119 inpatient behavioral health hospital and has been providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults for over 35 years. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; formal vocational education in related field of study preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical repairs, carpentry, woodwork, drywall, painting, and similar plan operation responsibilities required
  • Minimum of 1-3 years maintenance experience in healthcare or similar setting required
  • Must have driving record that meets hospital requirements of minimum of three (3) years with zero At Fault Accidents or Violations
