About The Position

Worth Ross Management Company (WRMC) is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of a luxury condominium community in Downtown Austin. This role is crucial for ensuring common areas and residential units operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Requirements

  • General maintenance experience or strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Knowledge of how to use a volt/ohm meter properly.
  • Sheetrock, caulking, and paint experience.
  • Doors/hardware repair experience.
  • Understanding and operation of a power-washer.
  • Grasp of basic plumbing and electric systems and repairs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Swimming pool - CPO preferred but willing to train/certify.
  • Introductory understanding of HVAC is preferred, knowledge of electric heaters is a plus.
  • Previous high-rise, apartment or hotel experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in residential facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs in common areas and residential units.
  • Handle entry-level tasks including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, drywall patching, carpentry, and lock repairs.
  • Assist with HVAC-related tasks such as filter replacement and basic inspections.
  • Support move-ins and move-outs by preparing common areas and assisting with logistics.
  • Escort vendors and contractors, operate freight elevators as needed, and conduct walkthroughs before and after work is completed.
  • Assist with general building upkeep, porter duties, and package handling when needed.
  • Serve as backup support to the Maintenance Supervisor when required.
