About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, general repairs, and housekeeping duties. This role involves making adjustments to building systems, equipment, and fixtures under the guidance of the lead/chief engineer. Key responsibilities include replacing lamps and ballasts, performing plumbing and door hardware repairs, painting, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems, policing property grounds for debris, and maintaining mechanical rooms and vacant areas. The technician will also complete assigned work orders and participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotations.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years experience in maintenance or related field.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Positive, helpful attitude at all times when interacting with building occupants.
  • Verification of employment to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of building systems preferred.
  • In pursuit of certification/licensing relative to performing work required in building operations.
  • Boiler operator license.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and ability to make needed adjustments and general repairs.
  • Microsoft 365 Software experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform door hardware maintenance and repair.
  • Perform painting duties as required.
  • Maintain and repair irrigation systems.
  • Police property/building grounds, public areas, parking lots, roof; remove debris on a daily basis.
  • Perform seasonal outside duties as required.
  • Maintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms, and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition.
  • Complete work orders as assigned on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Participate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend rotation.
