About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is recognized as skilled and knowledgeable in mechanical systems and is sought out to support troubleshooting, development of process/system improvements, preventive and predictive maintenance development and contractor performance monitoring, when necessary, for new equipment or process systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of plumbing
  • Working knowledge of mechanics
  • Displays effective interpersonal skills sufficient to build positive, productive, and effective professional working relationships with customers and associates
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret performance and operations issues
  • Computer and Microsoft Office knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/knowledge of printed circuit boards and printed circuit board manufacturing a plus
  • Previous vocational certificate/training preferred
  • Working knowledge of conveyorized equipment, pumps, gear-drive motors, heaters/blowers preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
  • Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Examines parts for defects such as breakage and excessive wear.
  • Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Studies blueprints, schematics, and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery.
  • Applies a wide variety of methods, procedures & techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul, & maintain various types of machines encompassing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ensures the safety needs are given a top priority in operations support and work execution. Some examples are Arc Flash/Shock Hazard safety, confined space entry, LOTO, hazardous materials, hand tool safe use, etc.
  • Coordinates and works with contractors.
  • Perform repairs and adjustments on equipment
