About The Position

Responds to the general maintenance needs of the entire FCC organization. Performs widely varied tasks to ensure that FCC buildings and vehicles are maintained in proper condition. Makes both scheduled and unscheduled repairs of all types.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or FCC employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished when written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Complete scheduled performance checks.
  • Preventive Maintenance of facilities, equipment, fixtures, tools, etc.
  • Mitigate major issues.
  • Performs minor carpentry tasks for repair and renovations.
  • Repairs various types of furniture, equipment and building systems.
  • Paints, repairs and refurbishes on various interior/exterior surfaces.
  • Performs minor repairs on vehicles and monitors for preventative maintenance.
  • Moves furniture and other items as scheduled.
  • Completes Work Orders and leaves finished copy for originator.
  • Drives company vehicles for work purposes.
  • Required to undergo periodic driving test and demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a motor vehicle, including passenger vans.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information received regarding Friendship Community Care, Inc. and the clients.
  • Adheres to and complies with all Quality Assurance’s & HIPAA procedures.
  • Follows the Code of Conduct and Compliance Investigation Procedures.
  • Maintains and completes consumers’ progress notes daily or as needed on the prescribed forms.
  • Maintains consumers’ records weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
  • Files all information in consumers’ records as needed and updated as prescribed by funding sources.
