About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of all water park attractions, pools, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven expertise in aquatic facility maintenance, water chemistry management, and team supervision. This role is critical to our daily operations and requires a dedicated professional who prioritizes safety and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an aquatic environment (water park, large public pool, or aquatic center).
  • Proven experience (1+ years) in a leadership or supervisory role, with responsibility for managing a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of water park mechanical systems (pumps, filters, controllers) and water chemistry principles.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventative maintenance skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in various weather conditions, and navigating tight spaces.

Nice To Haves

  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or AFO (Aquatic Facility Operator) certification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on water park equipment, including pumps, filters, chemical feeders, slides, and plumbing systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all aquatic facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
  • Manage and maintain proper water chemistry balance for all pools and water features, ensuring compliance with local health department regulations.
  • Test water quality frequently and adjust chemical levels as necessary.
  • Oversee the safe handling, storage, and application of all pool chemicals.
  • Maintain accurate chemical logs and documentation.
  • Lead, schedule, and supervise the maintenance team, including assigning daily tasks and projects.
  • Train new and existing team members on safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and water chemistry best practices.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure a safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to all OSHA, health department, and company safety guidelines.
  • Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety first.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance emergencies.
