About The Position

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician for Towns at Hamlet Woods, a brand new construction building in Bladensburg, MD. This fast-growing property management company, primarily based in the Mid-Atlantic region, requires applicants with 3+ years of prior apartment maintenance experience. The role involves appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall, and painting. HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus. The Maintenance Technician must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance. Responsibilities include addressing technical maintenance tickets, assisting with unit turnovers, and participating in the after-hours on-call rotation. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Hourly wage is dependent on experience and certification. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Requirements

3+ years prior apartment maintenance experience.
Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting.
Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
Must have previous experience with apartment maintenance; appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting.
Must have reliable transportation.
Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition.
Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation.
