Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
  • Must meet minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
  • General knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate professional communication skills to include the ability to interact and work together with co-workers, patients, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must be able to assess campus fire alarm systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to follow written directions.
  • Must be able to use basic tools pertaining to Maintenance.
  • Must have and maintain a set of hand tools essential for the job.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or the equivalent preferred.
  • If in recovery, 1-year continuous sobriety is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing the maintenance of equipment, tools, buildings and grounds.
  • Responsible for snow removal during regular and off hours (as applicable).
  • Responsible for responding to campus fire alarms and assess fire alarm systems.
  • Assists in performing in house remodeling and renovations.
  • Make necessary repairs for daily operation that causes minimal disruption to Caron’s Community.
  • Be available to provide emergency and extraordinary services during unscheduled work hours as directed by your supervisor.
  • Perform safety checks of all mechanical rooms/areas as directed by supervisor.
  • Will be required to be on-call for 7 days on a rotating basis.
  • May assist with patient transportation.
  • Must possess basic computer literacy skills to include but not limited to checking e-mail and retrieval and completion of work orders as well as preventative maintenance work orders.
