Primary Work Location: Multisite: Multisite staff work across several program locations throughout Alameda County, providing care and support wherever it is most needed. These sites offer a range of services, including post-hospitalization, medically supported shelter, medical respite care, skilled nursing, and caregiving support.

Requirements

  • Must provide proof of COVID vaccination or willing to be vaccinated
  • Have a passion for serving marginalized populations
  • Compliance with all company policies
  • Applicants may be required to take a background check after a conditional offer is made.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • At least two years of related experience required
  • Proven experience as a skilled maintenance person
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed

  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness preferred

Responsibilities

  • Keep all rooms, common facilities, and other areas functional and in good repair
  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
  • Install appliances and equipment
  • Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations
