About The Position

This position is for a Maintenance Technician in a wastewater environment. The role involves performing basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and minor electrical work as part of the machine technician team. The associate will also be expected to assist in other areas as a general mechanic when needed. The job requires the ability to learn wastewater basics and achieve a NC Wastewater License. It also involves physical tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, accessing equipment for repairs through squatting, bending, and kneeling, working on feet for the duration of the shift, and climbing ladders and working from platforms.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude.
• At least 1 year of experience in an Industrial setting.
• Knowledge of how to use hand tools.
• Ability to read and understand instructions of mechanical, electronic, electrical, manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent safety record and work habits.
• Able to work well with all departments.
• Able to work various shifts and work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to learn wastewater basics and achieve NC Wastewater License.

Responsibilities

• Learn wastewater basics and achieve NC Wastewater License.
• Lift and move heavy equipment as needed (Occasional heavy lifting over 80 pounds, frequent lifting up to 25 pounds).
• Access equipment for repairs (squat, bend, kneel).
• Work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Climb and work off ladders and working platforms.
• Fill out forms and record daily activities.
• Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and minor electrical work.
• Help cover other areas as a general mechanic as needed.
