About The Position

At RAM Aerospace, the integrity of our test systems is what ensures the hardware we ship performs exactly as designed. As a Maintenance Technician, Test Systems within the Test Systems department, you will be a hands-on contributor to the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the test stands and facility equipment that our engineering teams depend on every day. Working across hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems, you will keep RAM's test infrastructure running reliably while actively supporting calibration activities, troubleshooting test-related issues, and maintaining the documentation that underpins safe and accurate testing. This role is built for a mechanically inclined, curiosity-driven technician who is comfortable in an industrial environment, confident reading technical drawings and schematics, and motivated to solve problems both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum (due to ITAR requirements).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic understanding of troubleshooting mechanical systems required.
  • Experience using common hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
  • Ability to create and maintain basic technical documentation and maintenance records.
  • Ability to safely work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders, operating scissor lifts, and accessing confined or difficult-to-reach areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, crawling, and working underneath equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with technicians, engineers, and calibration personnel.
  • Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Office and maintenance or documentation systems.

Nice To Haves

  • technical or trade school education preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, industrial maintenance, or test systems environments preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine curiosity regarding system operation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical layouts, hydraulic diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical documentation preferred.
