Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
Nice To Haves
- Apprenticeship
- 5 years Maintenance/engineering in hospital setting
- 2 years electrical experience
- 3 years mechanical system maintenance experience
- 3 years carpentry/maintenance experience
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled work in repairing, replacing, modifying, installing or otherwise improving equipment and buildings.
- Knows how to use all hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnoses mechanical problems and makes repairs.
- Participates in hospital PM program.
- Make all required PM checks on all assigned equipment and lubricates as assigned.
- Makes daily rounds through the hospital looking for any lights out or any item needed repairing.
- Checks and operates energy management system, HVAC system, chillers, and boilers for the facility. This includes water treatment and pump repair.
- Performs some troubleshooting of refrigeration system using A/C gauges and test equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot small electrical problems and mechanical problems.
- Performs painting, carpentry, and plumbing work to include simple re-piping and repair work.
- Checks and operates emergency generator as needed.
- Rebuilds air compressor, vacuum, and pumps as needed.
