About The Position

This position reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Department. The primary function of this position is to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production machinery (e.g., CNC mills and lathes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) and the facility infrastructure. The Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing or arranging for the repair of all building operating systems on the site. This includes normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts, and periodic testing of equipment. The role involves monitoring mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection, and security systems to ensure proper operations and taking action or reporting any unusual conditions. Tasking includes repairing equipment or developing alternative solutions to keep production operational while the technically best or correct solution is found. The Technician will prepare and maintain maintenance logs, records, and work order details, utilizing preventative maintenance and work order software systems. A major responsibility is to maintain a safe work environment for everyone on site. Prioritizing work, finding efficient ways to accomplish tasks, and communicating them are key to success.

Requirements

  • High school education or GED required.
  • 5+ years with certifications in the Industrial Maintenance fields (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical).
  • Familiar with and have working knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection, and security systems.
  • Experience using power, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and hand tools.
  • Experience using presses, overhead cranes, pressure gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and communication skills, e.g., evaluating symptoms, determining root causes.
  • Works with minimal supervision and must be proactive.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production machinery (e.g., CNC mills and lathes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) and the facility infrastructure.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair or arrange for the repair of all building operating systems on the site.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance, and repairs to the building's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and production machinery or process equipment.
  • Monitor mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, life safety, fire protection, and security systems to ensure proper operations and take action or report any conditions that are out of the ordinary.
  • Repair equipment or develop alternative solutions to present as repair options, implementing creative solutions to keep production operational.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance logs, records, and work order details.
  • Use preventative maintenance and work order software systems.
  • Perform all assigned work to ensure the safety of the building’s tenants and the continuous operation of the site.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for everyone on site.
  • Prioritize work, find efficient ways to accomplish tasks, and communicate them.
