About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Small Projects is a critical member of our team who serves our residents by ensuring higher level requests and repairs are made in a reliable, timely and safe manner. The Maintenance Technician Small Projects is accountable for identifying problems, completing service requests assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor Small Projects, and handling more time-consuming projects generally taking 4 hours to 3 days in length, or a cost meeting the threshold of $2,500-$5,000, depending on scope. They will also be responsible for preparing open apartments in a timely manner. We believe everyone at Goldmark is a leader! Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Equivalent education with 3+ years’ related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of more complicated and time-consuming maintenance repairs
  • Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and meet company insurability requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Some previous maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC mechanical repair, light construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties. This includes areas of carpentry, flooring, drywall, cabinets and countertops, and other general small repairs.
  • Recommending replacement or repair, as necessary.
  • Ensure that all work completed is professional and clean after leaving our residents’ homes.
  • Prepare open apartments for rental within 24 to 72 hours. This may include coordinating the work with other team members or vendors to ensure the timeline is met and the completed work meets our high-level quality standards.
  • Manage each individual portion of the project assigned from assignment to completion.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to build and maintain knowledge and skills to excel in the role.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance repairs as listed on the Spring/Summer and Winter/Fall checklists failures as well as assist with City inspection generated work orders as necessary
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residents and site offices/ management by ensuring small project requests, questions, and concerns are addressed and responded to in a timely manner, along with making referrals to their supervisor, Regional Maintenance Manager, or property manager as appropriate.
