About The Position

Great Lakes Management is looking for a full-time Roving Maintenance Technician. This role will provide maintenance support as needed by traveling to New Prague (24 hours per week), Prior Lake (8 hours per week), and Savage (8 hours per week), MN. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation in Scott County, with 3 weeks off-call and 1 week on-call. Candidates must reside within 20 minutes of New Prague.

Requirements

Experience in rental housing maintenance required.
Skills in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, appliances, doors & windows.
Ability to motivate oneself and work independently.
Current, valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Boiler License preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining all mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures and groundwork as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance with the TELS software program.
Complete all work orders quickly and efficiently.
Order supplies and keep documented inventory.
Change filters, check lighting, roofing, HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, and manage leaks.
Understand building codes and regulatory compliance issues.
Report needs and conditions of the property, completing condition reports and inspections as needed.
Interact positively with all team members in maintaining census by immediately completing apartment turns.
Maintain the grounds, trash, sweep, dumpster areas, snowplow, etc.
Test the resident security systems as required.
Assist with custodial duties which include but not limited to, trash removal, carpet cleaning, etc.
Perform any maintenance task necessary as directed.
