About The Position

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician/Operator is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment used in the manufacturing of steel storage racking and fabricated products. This position will work closely with team members implementing safe, LEAN processes and embracing continuous improvement in the workspace.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or trade certification preferred.
  • 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or welding environment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other shop equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • technical training or trade certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment, saws, presses, shears, punch machines, conveyors, forklifts, and other shop equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Install, modify, and maintain machinery and production equipment.
  • Repair welding fixtures, jigs, guards, and shop tools.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance records.
  • Work with production personnel to identify equipment improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and ASP safety standards.
  • Maintain an organized maintenance shop and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Assist with facility maintenance as needed.
