About The Position

Responsible for maintaining all plant equipment and facilities as needed and as efficiently and timely as possible. This role involves repairing or replacing plant equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues, performing preventative maintenance, and participating in the established maintenance plan. The technician will also be involved in safety, health, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. Effective communication with personnel and departments is crucial for consistent operation, along with providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Adherence to all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and safety requirements is mandatory, as is maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe workstation.

Requirements

High School or Equivalent required
Working knowledge of plant equipment and safety procedures.
Competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in the facility, to maintain rotating and stationary machinery and equipment: industrial size equipment such as lifts and skid steers; variety of hand tools, power tools, testing instruments (laser alignment), welders (acetylene and electric), drills, pipe threaders; limited amount of light electrical work.
Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and senior level management.
Ability to maintain good attendance habits.

This position requires use of a respirator.

Nice To Haves

Related technical field, certificate, or diploma from a trade school in related field, preferred.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility, preferred.

Responsibilities

Repairs or replaces plant equipment or systems on a scheduled or emergency basis.
Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues.
Performs preventative maintenance activities as required.
Participates in the established maintenance plan and complies with departmental procedures.
Participates in safety, health, and environmental programs.
Assists with ensuring compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to maintenance and plant equipment.
Ensures accurate maintenance records, analyzing results, and improving measures as identified.
Communicates regularly with and assists all necessary personnel and departments to ensure consistent operation of maintenance and repair work.
Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.
Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe workstation/environment at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
