Ecolab is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Millwright) to support the Afternoon Shift. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing facilities and production equipment safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Responsibilities include daily maintenance, preventative maintenance, and proactively identifying and resolving issues. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Millwright license (433A), or actively working towards completion
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • 3+ years of experience with electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environment (pumps, fillers, packaging machines, conveyers, motors, sensor wiring, electrical drawings and schematics etc.)
  • Elementary math capability
  • Ability to follow oral or written instructions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must be able to perform all physical duties
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Chemical manufacturing industry experience
  • Formal vocational training in plant maintenance activities with emphasis on industrial applications or equivalent job experience in electricity, power distribution, industrial electrical wiring, mechanics, machine operations, general plumbing, heating ventilation and air conditioning, and boiler operations.
  • Experience with PLC-based applications in an industrial environment
  • Able to work in difficult situations such as confined spaces, heat and in high places.
  • Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, gears, hydraulics, valves, and rigging.
  • Experience in a TPM environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions for daily maintenance tasks, scheduled preventive/corrective maintenance tasks, and proactively looking for and addressing issues.
  • Perform and communicate maintenance-related tasks as a strong team player, with the ability to work independently, provide solutions, and leverage continuous improvement and TPM methodologies.
  • Repair and maintain machines and equipment safely, collaborating with production to ensure they are returned to good working condition.
  • Identify and troubleshoot Automation & Controls related issues to minimize machine and equipment downtime.
  • Perform regularly scheduled equipment preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and scheduled safety inspections.
  • Perform and close assigned Work Orders through CMMS, providing critical information regarding repairs and PMs to the Maintenance Team Lead.
  • Participate proactively in group discussions, periodic meetings, and answer maintenance-related questions.
  • Ensure strong communication between shifts by providing updates on maintenance tasks, broken equipment, and outstanding repair work via email.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Complete all required training on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
