About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician/Millwright to help keep our operation running at peak performance through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning mechanical and electrical equipment, performing minor building maintenance, executing preventive maintenance procedures, and assisting with outage planning. The position also includes installing and setting up manufacturing equipment, leading project planning for new installations and major repairs, and maintaining effective communication with supervisors and production teams. Accurate recordkeeping and inventory monitoring are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training highly preferred
  • Minimum of five years of industrial plant maintenance experience with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills at a Journeyman level; five to seven years preferred
  • Must be familiar with the scope and limitations of state licensing requirements related to Millwright and Electrical work
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot and repair equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and heavy equipment
  • Proficient in English with the ability to understand machine operation manuals, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, safety alerts, and verbal safety commands
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) card preferred
  • Journeyman Millwright card preferred
  • PLC experience and knowledge is a plus
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts
  • Experience with project planning, implementation, and oversight
  • Experience developing, implementing, and managing preventive maintenance (PM) programs

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Perform minor building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as needed
  • Execute preventive maintenance procedures and assist with outage planning
  • Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned
  • Install and set up manufacturing equipment
  • Lead project planning efforts for new equipment installations and major repairs
  • Safely operate and demonstrate expertise with hand tools, power tools, ladders, cranes, lifts, torches, jacks, and other maintenance equipment
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and production teams regarding equipment status and repair timelines
  • Complete accurate maintenance records and documentation using Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
  • Monitor inventory levels for maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment; assist with ordering and receiving materials as needed
