Maintenance Technician (Make Ready) - Seasonal Temp Full Time
About The Position
Weinstein Properties is looking for a Maintenance Technician (Make Ready) to join our team for the summer. This is a temporary, full-time opportunity from now until August at a well-maintained community with strong leadership and competitive pay. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and being part of a team that takes pride in its community, this could be a great fit. The position offers a pay rate of $20.50/hour, or $21.50/hour if EPA certified, which is higher than a permanent position due to the temporary nature and lack of benefits/bonuses. There are also bonus opportunities for staying onboard through the summer.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of apartment or residential maintenance experience
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable using computers and mobile devices (Outlook, work order systems, etc.)
- Ability to drive a golf cart
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work indoors/outdoors year-round
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Background check required
Nice To Haves
- No HVAC certification/experience required
- EPA certification (Type II or Universal) and hands-on HVAC troubleshooting / repair experience is a plus
- Strong customer service mindset and pride in your work
- Ability to work independently while being a reliable team player
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks
Responsibilities
- Complete turn/make ready process of vacant apartments
- Assist team with maintenance work orders as needed
- Work with the team to maintain property grounds on a daily basis
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, amenities, and pool areas
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to keep the property running smoothly
Benefits
- Stay Bonus: $100 after each successful completion of 30, 60 and 90 days for staying onboard through the summer!
- OPTIONAL participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule with the team (comes with additional bonus)
