About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Level 3 is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing minor upgrade projects on mechanical systems. This role involves completing scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving operational issues, and performing repairs on a wide range of building and facility equipment. The technician will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. This position requires the ability to work within a highly regulated environmental compliance culture, follow strict safety procedures, and adapt to a compressed work-week schedule. Experience in cleanroom environments and the ability to operate powered industrial trucks are also essential. The ideal candidate will be a team player who enjoys interacting with stakeholders and adapting to changing environments, driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, compressors, and related equipment operations.
  • Experience performing general industrial mechanical maintenance and repair work.
  • Ability to perform instrument calibration and related troubleshooting activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organization, prioritization, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work within a highly regulated environmental compliance culture and follow strict safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work a compressed work-week schedule.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including air-supplied respirators, coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), forklifts, and pallet jacks.
  • Comfortable working in a mobile environment and spending significant time on the move throughout the facility.
  • Must possess a valid HVAC certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Experience supporting facility operations and maintaining mechanical building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and perform minor upgrade projects on mechanical systems.
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational and maintenance issues on mechanical systems.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a wide range of building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility plumbing, mechanical, heating, and cooling systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and perform all required maintenance tasks.
  • Execute assignments that are semi-routine in nature and performed within established guidelines and procedures.
  • Apply sound judgment to resolve non-standard maintenance and operational problems.
  • Follow general work instructions and job plans while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Review and complete assigned work orders, maintenance tasks, and repair projects efficiently.
