About The Position

The Maintenance Lead Technician position is responsible for install, troubleshoot, repair and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. Responsible to sustain and continuously improve processes that deliver results that meet or exceed business targets as it relates to equipment performance, production, uptime, preventive maintenance, and facilities. The maintenance lead technician will also coordinate, organize, and actively participate on daily maintenance activities while leading other maintenance technicians. Some of the activities are preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment (mechanical or electrical), equipment installation, among others.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and mechanical.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.
Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
Supervisory skills and strong leadership skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory

Responsibilities

Assign and oversees assigned work of maintenance team employees.
Ensure all scheduled activity is completed according to the plan.
Responsible for leading the daily Maintenance meeting.
Address minor discipline and performance problems with team members; refer more serious cases to the maintenance supervisor.
Evaluates systems, facilities, and equipment to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
Work with maintenance supervisors to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
Collaborate with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.
Ensure maintenance and repair work is completely safe, effective, and in a timely manner.
Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.
Inspects work performed by team members.
Tracks and logs workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes.
Works with maintenance supervisor to coordinate topics for safety meetings.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
