In this position, you would be responsible for performing highly diversified duties that include installations, repairs, and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the plant as well as building maintenance. You will also conduct periodic inspections of machinery and buildings. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of general maintenance and repair work required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills essential.
  • Must be able to work effectively with others.
  • Must be able to perform basic welding, be skilled in plumbing, minor electrical, power transmission, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
  • Must be proficient in the repair of a variety of machines including but not limited to pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems and other production related processes and systems.
  • On the job training is provided to familiarize with our production, facility, and supportive equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited vocational institution preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production and non-production equipment including, but not limited to, greasing, lubrication, filtration and power transmission components.
  • Diagnose equipment and machine malfunctions, effectively repair and perform adjustments to equipment, controls and processes.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance to equipment and buildings.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, multi-meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Work with Safety and Production Managers to recommend and install necessary safety components and related equipment on machinery as well as buildings.
  • Work collaboratively and cooperatively with department team members, other department managers and supervisors to ensure all production requirements are met to promote the most efficient operations for all departments, and to ensure company goals are achieved.
  • Comply with plant safety rules, policies and regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Install new and relocate existing equipment as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
