About The Position

Supports facility equipment and building systems in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. Performs troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, fabrication, and continuous improvement activities while maintaining strong safety and documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures including LOTO, fall protection, NFPA 70E, and OSHA regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and spare parts inventory management.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Basic welding skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic/hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to perform basic welding and fabrication tasks (MIG/TIG/Stick experience preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and safely, including at heights.
  • Ability to work on-call and flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to document issues clearly and communicate effectively with management and team members.
  • Ability to use knives/box cutters.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery/ hazardous equipment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift/pallet jack.
  • Ability to use precision hand tools.
  • Ability to learn new technology systems, methods and processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret information.
  • Ability to research information, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to reason, form concepts and recognize and solve problems.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to off-site and out-of-town locations.
  • May be required to drive in accordance with the BGC Driver policy.
  • Must be attentive to potential hazards and remedy or place appropriate warning signs or devices around or near the hazard as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Must report any potential hazards that cannot be immediately remedied to a supervisor.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age required.
  • Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business in accordance with the BGC Business Driver Policy.
  • High school Diploma or GED and one to three or more years of related experience required; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of experience in maintenance or troubleshooting in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, or fire suppression systems preferred.
  • Completion of vocational or technical school preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification, forklift/material handling equipment (MHE) certification, and NCCER or similar electrical/mechanical coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper operation, maintenance, and repair of facility machinery, equipment, and industrial vehicles
  • Diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression issues
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical control systems including motors, relays, drives, and 3‑phase power
  • Reads and interprets electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Performs root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks and update PM records in the CMMS
  • Uses CMMS to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and report equipment failures
  • Maintains spare parts inventory and ensure stock levels meet operational needs
  • Supports development and improvement of maintenance procedures, SOPs, and safety practices
  • Assists with building, structural, and facility system repairs as needed
  • Coordinates with contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance or repair services
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and facility modifications
  • Performs welding and fabrication tasks as needed, including repairing brackets, guards, supports, and light structural components
  • Fabricates or modifies parts, fixtures, and equipment components to support operations and reduce downtime
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and 5S‑compliant maintenance area
  • Ensures the facility is always tour‑ready
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
