About The Position

At Jabil, the Maintenance Technician IV coordinates the daily activities of Facilities Support team members under limited supervision and oversees moderately complex maintenance of building and facility equipment, fixtures, and systems. The role includes developing team members, ensuring they are trained and certified, coordinating materials and work, performing and overseeing repairs and equipment installations, and maintaining equipment and preventive-maintenance records. The technician also works with internal customers and vendors and follows applicable safety, health, and company security procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or demonstrated skills required to perform the job.
Four to six years of experience in the maintenance field, or demonstrated skills required to perform the job.

Responsibilities

Develop, motivate, and challenge Facilities Support Team Members through timely formal and informal feedback.
Identify materials needed for assigned projects and request purchases promptly while minimizing over-ordering.
Ensure Facilities Support Team Members are trained, certified, and performing their assigned functions.
Inform or instruct team members about deviations or changes.
Keep assigned work areas clean and organized to minimize hazards.
Perform electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs on fixtures and equipment on company premises.
Oversee installation, relocation, and reinstallation of new or existing equipment.
Maintain and repair production-support air compressors, air dryers, and vacuum systems.
Perform simple engineering calculations for proposed new equipment.
Update mechanical prints when changes require it.
Maintain air conditioning and ventilation equipment within manufacturer specifications.
Submit proposals and recommendations for upgrades or changes to the department supervisor.
Maintain maintenance records for each assigned piece of equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment and conduct periodic inspections to identify required maintenance.
Serve as a liaison between the Facilities Department and internal customers and vendors.
Follow Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensure the records are properly documented.
Follow applicable safety and health rules and regulations, as well as company security procedures.
