About The Position

Under the instruction of the Maintenance Supervisor or Assistant Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician Intern will gain hands-on experience and instruction that aligns with their technical program coursework. This role involves contributing to machine uptime metrics in a continuous process manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Present enrollment in a relevant technical school program
• Mechanical aptitude and strong interest to work with mechanical equipment
• Willingness to be trained and to perform as a multi-craft mechanical Maintenance Technician
• Outstanding communications, interpersonal and team skills
• Desire for a long-term opportunity
• Action oriented and drive for results

• Organized

Nice To Haves

• Relevant work experience in process industrial maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and mechanical failures.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Utilize skills and knowledge in our continuous process – manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics.
• Accurately complete administrative documents and follow directions.
• Demonstrate technical experience, reliability, and the ability to work independently as well as working as part of a team.
