About The Position

Ascentec Engineering is seeking a day shift CNC Equipment and Facility Maintenance Technician. This role is primarily responsible for the day-to-day preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and calibration of various CNC machinery and equipment. The position also involves facilities maintenance and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. CNC maintenance experience is a requirement for this on-site role.

Requirements

  • CNC maintenance experience required
  • Self-starter capable of operating efficiently without direct supervision
  • Positive and dependable
  • 5 or more years in machinery/facilities maintenance
  • Experience with CNC equipment from manufacturers such as: FANUC, Mazak, Haas, Okuma, YCM, and others
  • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, circuit breakers, PLCs, relays, and other industrial electrical components
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, flow controls, pumps, valves
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and other materials
  • Familiarity with common shop hand tools, measurement tools (dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, etc.), and power tools, with safe and effective usage
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain necessary U.S. Department of State authorizations (ITAR requirements)

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience (MIG/ TIG)
  • Forklift/ manlift experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on CNC equipment.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the facility.
  • Enhance the working environment by improving or changing facility services or equipment.
  • Assist with the delivery, placement, and installation of new capital equipment.
  • Coordinate with OEM technicians and third-party contractors.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe to operate and properly locked-out/tagged-out when down or unsafe.
  • Utilize factory documentation, external resources, and technical expertise to troubleshoot and replace faulty components.
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including HVAC units and complex machinery.
  • Respond promptly to machine failures or conditions causing productivity loss.
