About The Position

Materion is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join their team. This role is crucial for diagnosing and maintaining various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Unlike entry-level positions, a Tech III is expected to operate independently, exercising judgment and utilizing a full range of specialized tools and equipment. Key responsibilities include maintaining basic electrical circuits and specialized control systems like PLCs, performing preventative maintenance such as lubrication, calibration, and part fabrication, and meticulously documenting all repair and maintenance activities. Requirements

• High School or equivalent education
• 2–4 years of technical experience
• A minimum of three (3) years field experience in working on electro-mechanical systems
• Computer literacy, with database experience
• Experience working with basic tools (i.e. drill press, brake, multimeter, milling machine, MIG, TIG, lathes, etc.)
• Good oral and written skills to prepare and deliver reports to management

Nice To Haves

• High vacuum systems experience
• SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics
• Working independently, exercising judgment, and operating a full range of specialized tools and equipment
• Maintaining basic electrical circuits and handling specialized control systems like PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) or telecommunication equipment
• Performing routine upkeep, including lubrication, calibration, and part fabrication to prevent system failures
• Maintaining detailed repair and maintenance records
• Creating or modifying parts as needed
• Calibrating equipment for optimal performance
