About The Position

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to join their team at Skyline Terrace, a 328-unit affordable housing and market community in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves performing maintenance functions in rental units, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots. The technician will also be responsible for leading and training other maintenance staff. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an on-call requirement for urgent needs outside of regular hours.

Requirements

3-5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning).
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs.
Ability to speak and understand basic English.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.

Nice To Haves

Vocational or technical training.
Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT).

Responsibilities

Diagnose, problem solve, and make repairs in areas such as appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and basic HVAC.
Lead and train other maintenance technicians.
Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures.
Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market ready in accordance with company standards.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor in leading and assisting the completion of the preventive maintenance program, building and safety inspections and annual unit inspections.
Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping and trash management activities.
Be available for on-call activity during off-hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need.
