About The Position

The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining plant and plant equipment, including mixers, production belts, slicers, pallet jacks, pneumatic pumps, dishwashers, and ovens. This role actively participates in continuous improvement projects and processes, communicates with vendors for parts and services, and performs emergency and routine repairs as needed. The technician will also participate in yearly audits (GFSI/FSSC22000), assist in developing procedures and corrective actions, adhere to HACCP plans, and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The position requires effective communication with others to ensure proper production flow and maintain the plant to the best ability, performing all job tasks in a safe and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of maintenance experience (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, pneumatics, and general maintenance) required.
• Ability to become familiar with any applicable OSHA Regulations (e.g. hazard communications, lockout/tagout) and apply this knowledge to daily duties required.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical experience in a food manufacturing plant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains plant and plant equipment including but not limited to mixers, production belts, slicers, pallet jacks, pneumatic pumps, dishwashers, and ovens.
• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and processes.
• Communicates with vendors to ensure availability and prices of replacement parts and/or services.
• Performs emergency and routine repairs as needed.
• Participates in the GFSI / FSSC22000 yearly audit and assists in the development of procedures and corrective actions.
• Adheres to the plant’s Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans.
• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Communicates with others to ensure proper production flow to avoid line downtime or disruptions.
• Communicates with appropriate personnel to maintain plant to the best of our ability.
• Performs job tasks in a safe and professional manner.
