About The Position

Cat-i Glass is looking for an advanced technician who can independently troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment, keeping operations running safely and efficiently. Cat-i Glass participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility after hire.

Requirements

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to perform welding or fabrication tasks
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods
Ability to work in industrial environments, including exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and measuring devices

Experience with predictive maintenance programs

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures
Repair and replace motors, contactors, and machine components
Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Fabricate parts and perform welding repairs
Identify root causes of equipment failures
Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime
Read, update, and close work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Accurately document maintenance activities, parts used, and downtime causes
Follow digital preventive maintenance schedules and ensure work orders are completed properly
Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
Comply with OSHA safety standards applicable to maintenance work
Use required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other equipment as needed
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing or repairing equipment
Report safety hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately
