Maintenance Technician III SUMMARY The Engineering Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for maintaining all buildings and equipment throughout the hotel. This role will contribute to the organization as an active business partner that is responsible for supporting the company's goals, objectives, vision, mission, and values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years’ job related maintenance experience or engineering
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service
  • Ability to communicate clearly and speak, read, write and understand English

Nice To Haves

  • Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
  • Certification from Technical Maintenance Trade School
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and various property specific software applications, HotSOS, and Energy Management Systems software

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and prioritize all painting and wallpaper maintenance throughout the property.
  • Maintain the resorts OSHA/Safety Programs within the paint shop, and work area through: following safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness, proper storage of paints and chemicals, utilizing personal protective equipment when necessary and reporting any potential hazards.
  • Maintain and control inventory through established pars for all necessary tools and equipment.
  • Communicate to all departments of the property regarding status updates and pertinent information; guests, department managers, and fellow associates.
  • Troubleshoot equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
  • Perform assignments as directed by the Director of Engineer.
  • Assume the duties of other mechanics when required, including light carpentry, plumbing, grounds maintenance, electrical, painting, pool and spa maintenance, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Repair all malfunctioning mechanic devices.
  • Perform electrical, air conditioning, heating, plumbing, boiler, and television repair needs.
  • Participate in services to ducts and grease traps.
  • Rekeys lock and maintains the key system.
  • Train other maintenance staff on equipment, systems, and procedures.
  • Assume responsibility when the Engineering Manager or Director of Engineering is not available.
