About The Position

Perform a variety of repair tasks, in addition to preventative maintenance activities. This role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing repairs for plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, and troubleshooting issues to identify and recommend solutions. The technician will also be responsible for repairs on landscaping, including sprinklers and pavers, and interior villa maintenance such as painting, lighting, and pest control. Additionally, the role includes assisting with power washing, identifying safety concerns, and performing basic inspections of elevators and doors. The position also involves welcoming and assisting guests and volunteers, providing vehicle training, and mentoring junior engineers. The Maintenance Technician II will also perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including conducting rounds and readings.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform wall maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting/repair of all hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and general building management.
  • Ability to interact well with guests in order to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ability to initiate actions based on ones own interpretation or understanding of a situation.
  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail and quality product.
  • Ability to communicate, understand, speak, read, write English to communicate with guests, staff and vendors.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position.
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • High School Diploma
  • 3-5 years of related experience

Responsibilities

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
  • Perform repairs for plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify source of problem and recommend solution.
  • Perform repairs on landscaping, including sprinklers and pavers.
  • Perform interior Villa maintenance to include: painting, lighting and pest control.
  • Assist with power washing for outside areas.
  • Identify and provide solutions for safety concerns/issues.
  • Perform basic inspection of elevators and doors.
  • Assist with landscaping maintenance.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guest according to company standards.
  • Anticipate and address guest needs.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Open venues in the morning (AM shift.)
  • Provide vehicle training for volunteers.
  • Provide training and mentoring to Engineer I.
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including conducting rounds and perform readings.
  • All other duties as assigned
