About The Position

Performs maintenance service and/or repairs of all residential, commercial and/or off-campus properties in two or more areas of skills including, but not limited to, plumbing, carpentry, machine servicing, and electrical repairs or installations for the properties maintained by Real Estate department. Estimates time and determines materials required to complete various projects. The Maintenance Technician II will complete these repairs and perform preventative maintenance as required for the general upkeep of the properties of Real Estate department. Performs all work under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, and in accordance with established safety procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
  • Property Maintenance Or Related Area (2 Years)
  • A Class E (MO) or Class D (IL) license and a good driving record are required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant vocational degree or certification may substitute for some of the minimum experience required.
  • Valid Missouri Class E Driver’s license.
  • Good driving record.
  • Vocational Diploma - specific trade or career
  • Property Maintenance (3 Years)

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and repairs on a daily basis assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or other managerial staff at the residential and commercial properties.
  • Assesses work orders and carries out work independently to completion, as appropriate.
  • Logs materials used for appropriate warehouse tracking.
  • Estimates, tracks and documents time spent carrying out service and repairs.
  • Resolves routine questions and problems. Issues outside of normal daily duties and functions are referred to the Maintenance Supervisor for review and resolution.
  • Assesses and troubleshoots maintenance and repair situations of residential, commercial, and/or off-campus properties that may occur outside of the written work order; resolves as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
