Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Technician II is an intermediate-level position responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services with average efficiency. This role operates under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Leads. The technician ensures machinery and mechanical equipment operates efficiently by performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, following technical diagrams and instructions. They troubleshoot malfunctions, locate problem sources using precision instruments, and remove defective parts. Adjustments to functional parts and control instruments are made using various tools. The technician minimizes downtime by educating production workers on maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. They also fabricate repair parts, manage equipment and supply inventories, and conserve maintenance resources. Additionally, the role involves preparing maintenance reports, maintaining technical knowledge through workshops and publications, and ensuring continuity among work teams through documentation and communication. A safe and clean working environment is maintained, and contributions are made to team efforts. Building, lighting, and plumbing repairs for the facility are also performed as needed. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
