About The Position

Cadrex is searching for a Maintenance Technician II to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, facility equipment, and physical structures according to safety and preventive maintenance systems and processes. This role involves developing work instructions, using various tools, and performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair. The technician will also install new equipment, diagnose and repair malfunctions, and perform both emergency and scheduled maintenance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated electronics knowledge and variety of hand tools
• Ability to understand mechanical processes
• Possess electronics knowledge
• Possess a basic knowledge of hydraulics
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance and/or repair instructions and manuals, and procedure manuals
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years’ experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• Previous experience in a machine shop performing maintenance mechanic duties preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties in maintaining production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
• Develop work instructions for production and facility’s equipment helping to build a preventive maintenance system
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and electric multimeters
• Ability to use computers proficiently
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment, machines, and facilities
• Installs new production machinery and equipment
• Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions
• Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests, and adjusts
• Detects faulty operations, defective materials and/or equipment and reports as required
• Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to problem area
• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
• Provides emergency service and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs to production equipment during machine service
• Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair
• Repairs broken parts, replaces defective parts and motors, belts, and adjusts feed mechanisms
• Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape
• Performs regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
• Patches or replaces plaster/plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of buildings
• May be required to use personal vehicle at times for work assignments
