This role puts you hands-on with heat treat furnaces and high-temperature systems that are critical to production. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, this is where your skills actually matter. The role involves working on high-temperature industrial equipment, specifically heat treat furnaces and support systems. It requires diagnosing issues with motors, burners, pumps, and controls, responding to breakdowns to restore equipment quickly, and performing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include replacing components such as bearings, belts, valves, and electrical parts, collaborating with other technicians to resolve recurring equipment problems, and documenting work within a CMMS. The equipment you will work on includes heat treat furnaces and temperature control systems, gas burners and high-heat industrial equipment, motors, pumps, compressors, and drives, electrical panels, wiring, and controls, and facility HVAC systems. Tools and technology used include multimeters and electrical diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, and CMMS systems. PLC/controls experience is a plus.
