About The Position

This is a hands-on role working on both mechanical and electrical systems, keeping production equipment running and jumping in when things go down. The ideal candidate can walk up to a machine, figure out what's wrong, and fix it. The role involves working on packaging lines, conveyors, processing equipment, motors, pumps, compressors, drive systems, electrical systems (wiring, panels, switchgear, transformers), HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, air handlers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and facility systems.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of maintenance experience (industrial preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical)
  • Experience working with motors, controls, and production equipment
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems

Nice To Haves

  • PLC or controls experience
  • Welding or machining experience
  • Maintenance certifications or an apprenticeship background
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience calibrating electronic, mechanical, or pressure measurement tools (gauges, oscilloscopes, etc.) in accordance with ISO/IEC-17025 or ISO 9001 standards
  • Electrical Worker Certification issued through the State of Kentucky

Responsibilities

  • Start shift with a safety meeting
  • Review work orders and prioritize repairs
  • Inspect equipment and troubleshoot issues on the floor
  • Repair motors, wiring, or mechanical components to get machines back up
  • Perform preventive maintenance before breakdowns happen
  • Test systems using multimeters and diagnostic tools
  • Work with other techs on larger or recurring issues
  • Log repairs and updates in CMMS before shift end
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical and electrical components
  • Install and repair wiring, motors, and control systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance (lubrication, inspections, filter changes)
  • Inspect drives, belts, motors, and fluid levels using checklists
  • Dismantle equipment to access and replace defective parts
  • Fabricate or modify parts using tools and specifications
  • Test machinery to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and repairs
  • Assist with inventory tracking for parts and supplies
  • Support equipment installs and system upgrades
  • Follow all safety standards (LOTO, OSHA, etc.)
