About The Position

CloudKitchens helps restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery by transforming underutilized properties into smart kitchens. This role focuses on maintaining modern, standardized commercial kitchen facilities, offering a predictable environment with a mix of hands-on repair, system troubleshooting, and facility support. The position provides an opportunity to grow into Facilities or Regional leadership roles within a rapidly growing operation in a large industry. Independent problem-solving is encouraged, with access to a collaborative support network for complex escalations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
  • Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration(Walk-Ins)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC Universal certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent)
  • Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites
  • Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems
  • Travel between multiple sites throughout the week across the San Francisco area
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work
  • Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors
  • Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance
  • Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality
  • Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions
