Maintenance Technician II 2nd Shift

About The Position
We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location! New employees can earn $80K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses. There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives. Position is full-time with benefits!
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school preferred.
- At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in welding and fabricating preferred.
- Knowledge of overhead cranes, bearings, hydraulics, and drives.
- Must have low voltage electrical knowledge.
- Experience in operating, troubleshooting and repairing various types of production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic PLC knowledge/experience.
- Basic automotive/trailer maintenance knowledge.
- Must have basic knowledge of lockout tag out and proper PPE.
Nice To Haves
- Technical school preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in welding and fabricating preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and repair equipment - overhead cranes, roll formers, press brakes and resistance welders.
- Assist with the servicing and repairing of more complex equipment.
- Comply with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.
- Perform general building repairs and maintenance.
- Perform general trailer and vehicle maintenance on yard equipment- forklifts, yard trucks, and shop vehicles.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
