1st shift Maintenance Technician II
About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing production-related equipment and accessories. It also involves performing installations of capital and/or expensed projects with a primary focus on safety. The technician will troubleshoot and repair equipment by consulting various technical documents, perform work orders, and maintain associated documentation. Adherence to all safety regulations is paramount. The role also includes maintaining a clean work environment, disposing of scrap materials, and researching needed supplies. Professional interaction with employees is expected.
Requirements
- Minimum: 1-3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to learn quickly with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Light electrical knowledge - ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues
- Detail-oriented approach - able to focus on components as well as complete systems
- Quick learning capability - minimal hand-holding required after training period
- PLC experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics and prints
- Hydraulic systems knowledge
- Welding capabilities
- Soldering skills (for electrical work)
- Forklift Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to convey and interpret explanations of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
- Industrial Mechanics experience
- Industrial Electrical experience
- Industrial Hydraulics experience
- Must supply own hand tools and basic equipment necessary for the position.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment by referring to operating and maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, handbooks, code books, and any related documents to determine requirements as to the functioning of components, work to be performed, materials, repair, service, and maintenance procedures
- Performing the correct operation of all equipment servicing
- Performing Work orders and maintaining all documentation associated with the work order system
- Receiving verbal directions from others regarding operations and assignments to be performed
- Adhering to all mandated Federal, State, Local, and company Safety Regulations
- Performing any or all other tasks as needed or related to the operation of Production Equipment
- Maintaining the Shop in a clean and orderly condition
- Disposing of scrap materials in designated containers
- Cleaning all areas where work is performed of material, parts, oil, grease, etc.
- Researching and providing documentation to the storeroom of needed supplies
- Interacting with employees professionally at all times
