About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role requires a robust technical aptitude and the ability to work individually or as part of a team. You will be responsible for performing more complex maintenance and repair tasks, as well as operating machines. You will work independently or under limited supervision and handle a wider range of equipment and systems.

Requirements

  • Possessing intermediate knowledge and skills in maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude and learning to perform simple maintenance tasks.
  • Accurately multiplying, dividing, adding, and subtracting whole numbers to resolve practical problems.
  • Operating a computer (PC proficiency; use spreadsheets and reporting software effectively).
  • Being a team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Wearing/using required PPE (personal protective equipment).
  • Understanding written instructions and completing appropriate documentation as directed.
  • Using a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.
  • Recognizing problems when they occur and working toward their solution.
  • Paying attention to details and pursuing quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks.
  • Looking for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.

  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Pipe fitting, pump repair, and plumbing repair experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge of conveyors and material transfer equipment.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Experience with packaging equipment (case erectors, case sealers, palletizers).
  • Basic electrical knowledge with 110/220/480 volt power.
  • General experience with building maintenance.
  • Experience with Liquid fill equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing more complex maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Operating machines related to production.
  • Independently troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
  • Performing complex repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment.
  • Conducting electrical and mechanical tests to identify problems and ensure proper functioning.
  • Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Collaborating with other team members to develop maintenance strategies and schedules.
  • Training and mentoring Level 1 technicians and all levels of Machine Operators.
  • Maintaining inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Maintaining continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and regularly cleaning work area, machines, and equipment.
  • Identifying and contributing to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
  • Maintaining an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
  • Adhering to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times.
  • Following and supporting compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Demonstrating regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.
