Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift (3 pm - 11:30 pm)
About The Position
Maintenance Technician II plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of facility equipment and systems across the organization. This position involves performing routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards. The technician will collaborate closely with other maintenance staff and departments to prioritize and execute maintenance tasks effectively. A key outcome of this role is to extend the lifespan of equipment through preventive maintenance and timely repairs, thereby supporting overall operational productivity. Additionally, Maintenance Technician II contributes to maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to facility maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and compliance.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to reduce operational disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond to emergency repair requests.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
